Account linking
If you use Link Accounts, we store your SteamID64, your Discord user ID and display name, and whether you are in the SHADOW REALM Discord, so your accounts can be linked in game. We never receive your Steam or Discord password and do not request your email, servers list, or messages. A Secure, HttpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in. Remember me saves sign-in for up to 30 days on your device; without it, the session lasts 30 minutes. Signing out removes the session while confirmed account links remain saved on the server. Linked ID pairs are kept until you unlink; conflicting attempts are kept for staff review. Ask in a private Discord ticket to have your linking records removed.
Private account snapshots
The game server sends your RP balance, paid rank groups and available kit cooldowns to private website storage. These details are returned only to your signed-in Steam account and do not appear in public server status or leaderboards.
Server security and Nightwarden
Nightwarden records Steam IDs, names observed on this server, observed connection IP addresses, keyed network fingerprints, Steam-reported ban history and native server anti-hack signals for private staff review. It may retrieve publicly available Steam profile information, game playtime, lifetime Rust statistics and public friend information. A confirmed local Discord link may be included in a private report. Account summaries use a 180-day window from your last recorded connection, with bounded name history. Network observations, cases and research snapshots expire after 180 days. These records are kept out of public website pages and leaderboards. Shared networks and profile statistics do not establish account ownership or cheating. Private or unavailable data is recorded as unavailable. Supplementary RustStats.cc statistics may include dated archived records; these remain separate from current Steam and Shadow Realm observations. A lookup shares the requested Steam ID and our requesting server's IP address with RustStats.cc, which documents a 14-day request-log period. Players' connection IP addresses are not sent to that statistics provider. Provider integrity ratings are review context, not proof of cheating. Nightwarden does not access players' local Steam files or issue automatic bans. Ask the owner through a private support ticket about your security records.
Staff applications
Applications require confirmed Steam and Discord identities. Your answers and verified account IDs are stored privately, emailed to the owner, and delivered to a staff-only Discord review channel. Staff can read that channel; only the owner can accept or decline. Accepted applications receive the selected Discord role, which syncs to the linked Rust account. Decision messages are sent by Discord direct message when available, and decisions remain visible in your website account. No automatic deletion schedule is enabled; contact the owner in a private ticket about access or removal.
Community support
Website support stores your request, Steam identity, optional linked Discord identity, replies and status privately for you and the authorized owner. Event feedback may include the event name, observation time and FPS you choose to report. Private Discord tickets remain available. Do not submit passwords, card details or identity documents. No automatic deletion schedule is enabled; contact the owner about access or removal.
